A Humanist Requiem

Ein Deutsches Requiem

Brahms Requiem

Drawn from the Old and New Testaments, Brahms’s Ein Deutsches Requiem is both grand and intimate, meditative and dramatic, giving consolation to the living and soothing the universal need for comfort in times of profound loss. A German Requiem is Brahms’s most expansive and moving oratorio… “an anthem for our times.

This is the most challenging work of the season and offers an opportunity to showcase the growth of Orpheus as a choir.

We dedicate this concert to the memory of Father Edward Jackman, a generous donor and patron to Orpheus and to other arts organizations throughout Toronto.

This will be a live concert featuring the Orpheus Choir of Toronto with orchestra (Concordo Ensemble)
