Sing with Orpheus
If you have a passion for singing and for choral music, the Orpheus Choir of Toronto offers you a unique opportunity to join a top-tier musical ensemble.
You’ll join a tight-knit group of people with similar interests, who grow together as musicians and friends, who find joy in singing, and who share the sense of pride and accomplishment that comes with every performance.
As an Orpheus member, you will be expected to invest time in musicianship and vocal ability through regular practice and training, and to prepare your material prior to rehearsals.
In addition to our usual four concerts, you may be asked to perform at other invitational engagements.
Rehearsals
Tuesdays from 7:00 pm to 10:00 pm, early September to late May.
Yorkminster Park Baptist Church, 1585 Yonge St. (just north of St. Clair subway station).
Audition for Orpheus
Do you have:
- a high level of musicianship
- strong sight-reading skills
- vocal technique and flexibility
- and want to be challenged in an ensemble environment?
If so, we invite you to audition.
Your audition will include a prepared piece, a range assessment test, sight-reading and a brief interview.
