We invite you to apply for our Vocal Apprentice Program!
The Orpheus Choir has the Vocal Apprentice Program for enthusiastic high school aged singers. Join us at our weekly evening rehearsals to learn challenging and exciting music to further develop your musicianship and choral abilities.
Each year, we select up to eight singers for the Vocal Apprentice Program.
We hold auditions on an ongoing basis at Yorkminster Park Baptist Church where we also hold our rehearsals.
If selected for the program, you must attend regular Orpheus rehearsals on Tuesday evenings.
Along the way, you will be mentored by the Orpheus Choir’s Sidgwick Scholars (professional-bound university students) and Artistic Director Thomas Burton-Bresba.
Fill in our online application form to complete an audition involving some sight-singing exercises and a piece of classical music of your choice. Afterwards, you will receive written feedback regarding your audition.
